Get ready for the hot yurt at Shanti Yoga Retreat!
This Bikram yoga intensive weekend will focus on understanding and deepening your Bikram practice. It will include 4 Bikram yoga classes in the unique and beautiful setting of a heated yurt surrounded by nature. Classes will include tips on managing any chronic pain or blockages that you may be experiencing within your practice, and hands on alignment. There will also be plenty of free time to simply do your own thing.
The retreat includes 2 nights accommodation, (Friday, June 8, and Saturday, June 9), snacks, and 4 sumptuous vegetarian meals. Arrival time is any time after 2 pm on Friday. Departure time is Sunday afternoon after brunch.
Shanti Yoga Retreat is located on Wolfe Island on 11acres of waterfront land. Experience yoga in a truly inspiring and relaxing setting. Accommodations include the spacious century inn or one of the waterside cabins.
No previous experience with Bikram yoga is required.

FAQ:
-Do I need to bring my own bedding and towels?
Bedding, towels, and towels for the Bikram yoga classes will be supplied.
-Will there be laundry facilities available to wash my yoga clothes between classes?
There will not be any laundry facilities, so please bring enough yoga gear to cover all classes. There will be a outdoor clothesline available to dry your clothes.
-I am arriving to Kingston by train/bus, how do I get to Shanti Retreat Centre on Wolfe Island?
The easiest way is to take a taxi from the train or bus station to the Wolfe Island ferry terminal. Please let us know which ferry you will be taking, and we can arrange for someone to pick you up once you arrive on Wolfe Island. For the Wolfe Island ferry schedule, click here.
-Do I get my own room?
All rooms at Shanti are shared, so if you are traveling with friends, please let us know who you would like to stay with (to a maximum of 4 per room). Rooms will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
-As brunch takes place after the first yoga class of the day, will there be food and beverages available first thing in the morning?
There will be snacks of fruit, nuts and granola, and coffee and tea, offered first thing in the morning. Meals are plentiful, and the snacks are also available throughout the day. However, if you feel like you need something more substantial, please feel free to bring your own snacks – refrigeration will be provided if you need it.
-I have food allergies, who should I tell?
