Along the pathway of healing my own body mind and spirit, I came into a class at Feel in 2007 and immediately knew that this space would be a part my journey in a profound way.

Maintaining a nearly daily personal yoga practice since then, I began branching into other avenues of body-mind connection, and discovered Thai Yoga Massage. This beautiful art immediately spoke to me. In 2008 I completed level 1, 2 and 3 intensive courses and have received my Essential Certification from Lotus Palm School of Thai Yoga Massage in Montreal. I have also completed the Table Thai, and Reflexology course at Lotus Palm.

In addtion to Thai Yoga Massage, I have also begun offering acupressure. Acupressure is a powerful tool to address energy blockages along the meridians of the body. This practice addresses issues on a physical, spiritual and emotional level. I believe that wellness comes from within, and through the practice of mindful meditation I bring my heart and soul into each massage I give so that I may help facilitate the process of health and balance for each person I work with.

I believe that our physical body is a great teacher for our mind, and that through thoughtful bodywork we can begin to understand the lessons it has to show us.

What to expect

A session with me is a relaxing experience in a beautiful atmosphere. You will remain fully clothed and passively allow your body to be manipulated into beneficial positions incorporating stretching, rhythmic massage, reflexology points, guided breathing, yoga asanas and energy line work.

Many yoga practitioners find a stronger practice follows a session, as muscle memory is developed and flexibility increased.

Thai Yoga Massage is perfect for anyone, at any level of fitness and flexibility. It is an ancient art that dynamically combines yoga, massage and acupressure leaving the recipient feeling relaxed, stretched and energized. Benefits can include toning the muscles, improved circulation, relieving body-mind tension, balancing metabolism, easing digestive issues and facilitating relaxation.

You will love it.

I also lead Sivananda style yoga classes at Feel every Tuesday and Sunday morning. I was given the spiritual name Abhaya by Swami Sitarananda during my training at the Sivananda Ashram in Grass Valley, CA in 2009. I consider it a deep honor to carry that name in my spirit as I pass on the knowledge that has been passed on to me.

Yoga, to my mind, unites us with our true nature, which is one of peace, self-acceptance and excellence. I have been forever changed for the better by my personal practice and want nothing more than for everyone, everywhere to find some peace within and if yoga is your path, it would be a privilege to share what I have learned with you.
