New Students

Welcome! All classes at Feel are good for all levels from beginner to advanced. No prior experience with yoga or flexibility is necessary.

Tips for new students:

Arrive 15 minutes early to class.

You may want to eat something light 2-3 hours prior to class, but please avoid eating a heavy meal.

Keep an open mind: While you may not be able to perform all the postures on your first visit, don’t be discouraged! A successful yoga practice requires persistence and determination. Listen to your instructor, work at a comfortable pace, respect your body’s limits, and just do the best you can.

Additional tips for students new to the Bikram hot yoga practice:

Drink plenty of water throughout the day to arrive hydrated.

Your goal for the first class is to stay in the hot studio for the entire class, listen to your body and lie down if and when you need to, and to do your best  – you’ll feel amazing after!

Drink plenty of water after class to rehydrate. Coconut water is a natural way to replenish your electrolytes.

Try to take your second class within 24 hours. You’ll see more results and benefits with a regular practice.

What do I bring?
Bring a yoga mat & water. Bikram students should also bring 2 large towels.
Mats, towels, and water are all available for purchase or rent at the studio.

Full change room facilities are provided, including showers.

What do I wear?
Wear light stretchy clothing – nylon/lycra blends are great.
For Bikram students – we recommend shorts and a yoga/sports bra top or tank top for women, and shorts you can stretch in for men.
